Amaco HF-9 Zinc Free Clear
A clear, glossy, zinc-free high-fire glaze. Recommended for covering underglaze decorations, as it helps preserve their color clarity.
AMACO HF-9 creates a clear, glossy protective layer. The absence of zinc is particularly important for decorations whose colors might change under traditional transparent glazes.
Application: on bisque or underglaze decoration; mix thoroughly before use
Coating thickness and clay body type influence transparency. Before applying to the final piece, perform a test with the paints or engobes you are using.
Firing temperature: 1200 – 1240 °C
